Community Preschool Development Screening

Children do better in school when they are ready to learn. We would like to help you see how your child is developing. We are offering a free screening session (approximately 2 hours in length) for children 3 through 5 years of age who have not yet entered kindergarten. The screening will cover the following areas: Speech and Language, Motor (movement), Academic Readiness Skills and Social Skills. You will receive information regarding your child's development as well as free helpful handouts. Who: Age 3 to 5 year-old children living in our community who have not yet entered Kindergarten Where: Gateway Elementary in Woodland Park. When: Friday, February 25th. Time: 8:OO AM - 12:00 PM. Please call Teresa Zboralski at District Child Find, 686-2050, to make an appointment. Screening appointments are limited, so please call early to reserve a time that is best for you. * If you wish to have your child screened at any time other than February 25th please call as well. Children in Teller County younger than 3 years old may be screened by calling Joann Jones of The Resource Exchange at (719) 687-5047.
