Seed & Soil Workshop - Park Providers

Child Care Innovations, Red Rocks Community College, your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency in cooperation with the Teller/Park Early Childhood Council offer this training free of charge.
This three (3) hour training will help you to meet the 15 clock hours that are required each year by licensing

This interactive workshop will integrate information based on current research to enhance our understanding of the brain and how it affects behavior and learning. It will cover the Three Bs – the Brain, BrainWise (Dr. Patricia Gorman-Barry) and Brain Rules (John Medina). We will discuss the anatomy & function of the brain, Wizard and Lizard, epigenetics, how the brain works according to the Brain Rules for Baby, how children learn, the role of early life experiences and emotions in the thinking and learning process, why relationships matter, what the brain needs and how enrichment affects the brain but also debunk some brain myths. The goal is to provide theory and practice with successful tips and techniques to make a difference in the development of children.
